MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setup and operate manual machinery such as lathes, mills, drill presses and grinders.
Adjust and upload existing programs to CNC lathe and CNC Mill machinery with multiple spindle axis and dual spindles.
Machine parts to specifications using said machine tools.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Troubleshoot and problem solve as needed for parts to meet quality inspections.
Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
Dismantle and install maintenance, repaired or replacement parts into equipment to ensure proper and safe functionality of equipment.
Collaborate with programming engineering in order to exchange technical information pertinent to the manufacture of quality components.
Machine, fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.
Measure completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precise measuring.
Maintain a safe and clean work station at all times.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED is preferred.
Experience with Mitsubishi, Fanuc, HAAS and Okuma controllers preferred.
Technical certification preferred.
Minimum two years’ experience with machining required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift 50 pounds or more on occasion. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
